BLOCKADE RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘GRAFTERS’

by Nicola O'Connell

London lads Blockade are back at it with their solid guitar riffs and relatable lyrics with their newly released single ‘Grafters’. Describing their song as one for the people grafting their way through the week looking forward to the weekend, but wondering “is this is really it?” Surely there’s more to life than a couple days of fun that, let’s face it, don’t always live up to the hype anyway. There’s got to be something more fulfilling out there, right?

Well if that resonates with you, I recommend giving this song a listen. Blockade have a brilliant sound with catchy riffs and melodies where you’re sure to find yourself singing along. With each single they’ve released I find them to be consistent in their music and they crush it each time.

I had the opportunity to see Blockade play the O2 Islington 2 back in April this year and whilst it would be nuts to expect anyone to sound like studio recordings, they really do sound fantastic. I truly do love this band and I look forward to getting to see how they grow in both their music and popularity. And hey, I’ve heard a rumour that there’s potentially an EP on the cards. So maybe if you’re nice, give them a whirl on Spotify or wherever you stream music, and maybe they’ll grace us with some more awesome songs.

If you want to catch these guys live, find them here next:
Spice of Life in Soho, London on the 31st of August (2024).
