Peach PRC releases new single ‘Secret’.

The bubblegum pop princess, Peach PRC recently released her newest single ‘Secret’ last week. This is the first of new music we’re hearing this year from Peach and she’s proving she’s not going away anytime soon.
The Australian pop sensation is set to start her ‘Secret PRC Tour’ on the 21st of March starting in Melbourne with special guest Carla Wehbe.

With her pink, fairy-like aesthetic, Peach PRC serves us this catchy synth pop hit with her stunning vocals and fun electro pop melodies and dance-y beats reminiscent of the early 2000s-2010s. Think Katy Perry, Carly Rae Jepson, Kesha.

Peach’s single explores the topic of being someones ‘Secret’ in a relationship where the other person doesn’t want anyone to know. The song touches on the religious element with the lyrics “Your mama doesn’t know I’m here, she’s got indoctrinated fears” which suggests her secret partner may not be open about their sexual orientation and are scared of the potential reaction to this information.

The lyrics flip back and forth between the sadness of wanting to share her love whilst respectfully understanding her partners decision. A subtle but personal favourite lyric of mine is the “You got the limo out the front” which appears to be a nod to a Hannah Montana lyric with the whole living a double life situation.

If ‘Secret’ is anything to go by, then whatever Peach PRC gives us next is going to be just as great as her previous EP Manic Dream Pixie. She’s never one to disappoint and I truly look forward to seeing her grow as an artist.

‘Secret’ by Peach PRC

“And I'm playing along
But I don't know if I'm strong,
To keep on hiding like
I'm something wrong

I know you wanna keep it,
Your secret
And I would never speak it,
Your secret

You only wanna kiss me in your car,
You only wanna love me in the dark.”
