Following on from her cracking ‘Family Drama’ EP, RØRY has just released her newest song alongside music video for ‘BLOSSOM’. The song is exactly the kind of emotion and lyrics you’d come to expect from a RØRY song but this time with a slight twist. With previous songs, especially from ‘Family Drama’, the lyrics were more of a sadder nature and diving into the hard hitting topics. This time round she’s taking a stronger stance and rising from the ashes of her trauma.
you buried me alive, you left me there to die.
and now you’re gonna watch me.
breaking through the dirt, a death becomes a birth,
you’re gonna watch me blossom.

Her lyrics tell how those who once put her down are now going to watch her as she succeeds during the high points of her life.

The song itself has a great sound that gives me this Linkin Park kind of feel. The music video is the perfect combination of beautiful and edgy, RØRY looks stunning surrounded by the nude and pastel coloured flowers. I really look forward to hearing more from whats to come.

RØRY played Slam Dunk Festival back in May, then Download Festival in June. On both occasions pulling in incredible crowds she should be proud of. I love the whole aesthetic and sound of this woman, she’s brilliant.
